The Stray Asses Search Guide embryo
“The Stray Asses Search Guide'' is a collage of masculine Israeli characters - post-traumatic, desperate for reassurance, Castration anxiety strugglers, professional weakness hiders, hurt and hurtful prisoners and wardens.
The name is derived from the biblical story of King Saul, who went looking for his father’s stray donkeys and unintentionally became the king.
Anointed to an unfitting position, he grew insane. He realized that if only he had found the donkeys, he wouldn't have been forced to all the violence, grudge, and fulfillment of hereditary masculine models which the reign requires.
The play follows 3 men along the main stops in their lives, discovering sexuality, examining their place in the peer group and attempting to hide their wounds using humor and cruelty.
This isn't an educational play, nor is it meant to be exempt from liability.
It is mainly a confession.
The Performers come from different backgrounds:
Oren: creator, director, performer, an industrial designer, and a writer,
Elad: actor and hip hop artist
Itamar: visual theater artist.
